Viking Attack has proved to be one of our most useful and consistently popular exercises for team building events. As well as bringing your team together to solve a complex puzzle, it will teach them valuable lessons in leadership, cooperation, planning and of course how to work more effectively as a team.
The package is downloadable, ready to use. Simply print it out, follow the instructions and you are ready to go. The package is suitable for an unlimited number of participants who are divided into manageable groups of six to ten per group. Each group is given a set of clues (most of them relevant, some 'red herrings'), distributed at random between the players. The groups are then told to work against the clock to discover when and where a a particular event took place
Although it seems a simple problem to solve, in order to win, the players will need to elect a leader, set an objective, organise and delegate the processing of information and listen to each other, if they want to find the three-part solution. The record is currently held by a group of Scandinavian/British Midland airline pilots! However, groups of bankers, company directors and engineers have all found the exercise enjoyable and highly instructive, including a session recently held for a group of American company vice-presidents!
