Programme overview:
The purpose of this half-day session is to raise delegates’ awareness of the risks and hazards to security in the workplace. It will show them that everyone is responsible for playing their part in ensuring that the premises, the organisation’s assets and information, themselves and the people around them are secure. During the session delegates will:
- consider why security is important to everyone at work
- discuss who and what might be at risk in the workplace
- reflect on the possible security risks posed by visitors, and how to manage those risks
- explore best practice in personal and vehicle security
- review best practice in computer security
- agree how the premises and its contents should be secured at the end of each working day
- how to take personal responsibility for security at work in the future.
The session takes a commonsense approach to security, focusing delegates on practical ways in which they can help protect themselves, each other and the organisation.
Content:
The programme is interactive and discussion based, allowing delegates to assess a range of typical security risks and hazards, and decide what they can do to eliminate or minimise them.
